Instead, they&#8217;ve come to attend a fiction reading at the place <em>New York Magazine<\/em> has called \u201cthe best literary venue in New York\u201d &#8212; the fabled KGB Bar.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">You&#8217;ve got to love it when a fiction reading packs them in.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The image above is from <span class=\"itemprop\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm1242054\/?ref_=tt_ov_dr\">James Ponsoldt<\/a>\u00a0film <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt3416744\/?ref_=fn_al_tt_2\"><em>The\u00a0End of the Tour<\/em><\/a> (2015), based on the David Lipsky book\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Although-Course-You-Becoming-Yourself-ebook\/dp\/B0036S4DYM\/ref=dp_kinw_strp_1\">Although Of Course You End Up Becoming Yourself<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>(2010). They are <\/strong><\/em><strong>merely the spillover. The real crowd waits in a room at the top.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Of course, every writer isn&#8217;t going to command a spillover crowd down E. 4th\u00a0Street to 2nd Avenue, but every reading I&#8217;ve seen or heard about at KGB has been SRO, and I&#8217;m hoping to see the same when I return there for a reading with <a href=\"http:\/\/maryrobinettekowal.com\/\">Mary Robinette Kowal<\/a> on June 20.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">It&#8217;s going to be a special night, taking place a few weeks before the premiere of <a href=\"https:\/\/lawrencecconnolly.com\/archive\/2018\/05\/05\/fantasia-film-festival-nightmare-cinema\/\"><em>Nightmare Cinema<\/em><\/a> and on the same date that <a href=\"https:\/\/fantasistent.com\/\">Fantasist\u00a0Enterprises<\/a> will be releasing\u00a0the ebook edition of <em><a href=\"http:\/\/a.co\/45zmvmP\">Voices: Tales of Horror<\/a><\/em>. The collection first appeared in print in 2011, but until now it has not been available in digital format.
