Is it a ghost? <\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

An intruder? <\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

And what does it have to do with a collection of props gathered from the theatre\u2019s basement? <\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

One thing’s for sure, this may be the most confounding mystery you have yet encountered.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

That\u2019s the setup for Act 1 of \u201cIn the Ghost Light\u2019s Glow,\u201d the Sixth Chapter of Prime Stage Mystery Theatre<\/a><\/em>, which is available today at the Prime Stage website<\/a> or wherever you get your podcasts.<\/p>\n

Dropping in advance of Prime Stage\u2019s Frankenstein<\/em><\/a>, the episode also features an interview with director Liam Macik, who talks about his previous Prime Stage productions (playing Lenny in Of Mice and Men<\/em>, writing and directing The Scarlet Letter<\/em>, and directing last season\u2019s Arsenic and Old Lace<\/em>) in addition to offering a glimpse of what to expect at this weekend\u2019s opening.<\/p>\n

\"\"\u201cThere will be a creation scene,\u201d Liam says, highlighting what is often the centerpiece of Frankenstein<\/em> productions. \u201cAnd honestly it’s one of the most challenging things I’ve ever directed technically. There are going to be a lot of lights. There are going to be a lot of sounds. And the actors are really doing a great job bringing this moment to living, breathing, screaming life.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for the Mystery Theatre<\/em> mystery, listeners will again be invited to offer suggestions and solutions, some of which will be highlighted in subsequent episodes. And in addition, folks who attend Frankenstein<\/em> on opening night can stop by a Mystery Theatre<\/em> display to examine some of the clues mentioned in Act 1 of \u201cIn the Ghost Light\u2019s Glow.\u201d<\/p>\n
