Connolly<\/strong><\/a>, based on Connolly&#8217;s short, <em>Traumatic Descent<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Japan\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0457565\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Ryuhei<\/strong><strong> Kitamura<\/strong><\/a> (<em><span data-term=\"goog_174529329\">Midnight<\/span> Meat Train,Versus<\/em>), who will direct<em>Mashit<\/em> by Mexican author and filmmaker <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm5067597\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>SandraBecerril<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<li>Cuba\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm1486025\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Alejandro Brugues<\/strong><\/a> (<em>Juan of the Dead, From Dusk to Dawn<\/em>), who will film <em>The Thing in the Woods<\/em>, which he also penned<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0308376\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Mick Garris<\/strong><\/a> (<em>Stephen King\u2019s The Stand and The Shining)<\/em>, who will direct his own short story, <em>Tyler&#8217;s Third Act<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">It was during that period that Garris began toying with an international version of the concept, shot on location and featuring both established and emerging filmmakers.&nbsp; \u201cEverybody but me thought it was much too ambitious,\u201d he says, with a laugh. \u201cIt literally took me several years to find the right formula to do this.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Everything finally came together two months ago when he and producer Joe Russo brought the project to Garris\u2019 old friend Leonard Shapiro, President of Good Deed Entertainment, and Russo\u2019s former college mate, Brandon Hill, GDE\u2019s Production and Development Director.&nbsp; The filmmakers were thrilled to find that GDE, led by CEO Scott Donley, shared their vision of a multi-platform \u201cinternational horror film festival all-in-one collection.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cOn behalf of everyone at Good Deed Entertainment, it is an honor to work with such world-class talent. May this be the first of many collaborations in the future!\u201d says CEO Scott Donley.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Created by Mick Garris, <em>Nightmare Cinema<\/em> is a coproduction of Garris\u2019 Nice Guy Productions and Good Deed Entertainment. Garris and Joe Russo are producing, with Donley and Shapiro as executive producers.
