Going Live with FCTV at PA LitFest

This past weekend, writers and readers from across the state and beyond gathered in Uniontown for the first Pennsylvania Literary Festival. It was an amazing time.

I was there to do the first in a series of soft launches for Vortex: Book Three of the Veins Cycle, which has an official release date of July 1.  As part of the launch, I got to sit down with festival coordinator Heidi Ruby Miller and talk about novels, stories, music, and other things. Our conversation aired on FCTV and is available by clicking the YouTube link here.

dixonFCTV also covered the Festival’s other event, one of the highlights of which was an interview and reading with Keynote author John Dixon. John’s recently released novel Phoenix Island was the basis for the CBS television series Intelligence, and during his interview he spoke about the book’s genesis and the sequence of events that led to its television adaptation. You can view the entire segment by clicking here.

The Festival also featured a roster of authors from Raw Dog Screaming Press that included Michael A. Arnzen, John Edward Lawson, Heidi Ruby Miller, Jason Jack Miller, K Ceres Wright, and Stephanie M. Wytovich (whose new collection Mourning Jewelry also launched at the Festival).

FCTV will be releasing more videos from the event in the days ahead, with links to be posted at the PA LitFest website. Take a look if you get a chance, and you’ll see why those of us who were there are hoping the event will return again next year.
