Theatre Stories @ Riley’s

Lawrence C. Connolly performs at Riley's Pour HouseFollowing last month’s amazing night of storytelling, Riley’s Pour House will be presenting an evening of theatre stories on June 24, hosted by The 21st Century Scop and featuring storytellers from Pittsburgh’s Throughline Theatre. Think Moth Radio  with a thespian twist.

Among the storytellers confirmed so far are: Mike McBurney, Sean Sears,  C. S. Wyatt, Joe Coluccio, and Pete Grubbs.

New DeathThe evening will also include a reading of a scene from A New Death, Throughline Theatre’s world-premier play by C. S. Wyatt.

If you have a theatre story to share, whether it takes place on stage or in the balcony, we’d love to add you to our growing roster of storytellers. Off theme stories are also welcome, but remember: we’re interested in told stories — ones similar to those featured on The Moth Radio Hour. Signups will begin at 7:00 on June 24.

Larry IkovichLast month’s session drew a packed house. You can read all about it (and listen to an audio excerpt) here.

Scop on!
