A Warm Up for WoW

May 23rd, 2014

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAThat’s WoW as in Writer on Writing, the story telling event at Riley’s Pour House that will be featuring writers from Seton Hill’s Writing Popular Fiction Program and the writing group WorD. I’ll be hosting the event on May 27.

But before that, I’ll be playing some of my favorite songs on the Riley’s stage from 8:00 to Midnight on Friday, May 23.

Think of me as the warm up act, going on four days in advance.

I’ve been getting a lot of requests for tunes that have been sending me back into the memory vault, recovering things I haven’t played in years — stuff by Paul Simon, Otis Redding, even a little Frank Sinatra (no kidding).  Of course, I’ll also be doing the usual mix of Irish trad and American contemporary. It should be a fun night.

Come early to get a good seat, and, once you’ve settled in, consider sticking around around for Writers on Writing.

See you there!
